Borough of Southwark
Dulwich is an area in the Borough of Southwark, hosting three smaller areas, East Dulwich, West Dulwich, and Dulwich Village. It is bordered by Peckham Rye, Herne Hill, Forest Hill, and West Dulwich. There is an increasing choice of Primary and Secondary Schools including some of the best private schools in England. There are also excellent public parks and expanding amenities for families.

- It is possible that the name Dulwich comes from combining two words; ‘Dill’ (A white flower) and ‘wihs’ (a damp meadow) therefore meaning a meadow where dill grows.
- During the 17th Century, Dulwich woods were a popular hunting ground for King Charles I of England.

Peckham Rye Park – This is a Victorian park featuring ornamental gardens and a lake with a water feature
East Dulwich Picturehouse – Cinema showing all kind of films, new and old
Dulwich Picture Gallery – An art gallery with a permanent collection of Baroque paintings, as well as hosting guest exhibitions.
Memorial Fountain – In Dulwich Village there is a memorial fountain dedicated to Dr. George Website (founder of the first British Medical Association) worked in Dulwich from 1815 until his death in 1875.

There are many independent shops, restaurants along Lordship Lane as well as the arts and crafts available on North Cross road with its Saturday market.

Properties
Most of the properties in Dulwich are Victorian terraced houses. Dulwich is made up of a number of small roads rather than a specific area, but houses are either in the Goodrich School area close to Peckham Rye Park or set off Lordship Lane.
