Our involvement in the sale of St Johns Works dates back almost five years, when we became aware that the owners were keen to relocate to more efficient premises, but were experiencing planning difficulties.
We introduced Asprey Homes, who submitted a new planning application for the construction of a high density residential development. We successfully acquired several adjoining properties in order to extend the site, and permission was granted for 51 apartments in a group of warehouse style buildings.
The shortage of affordable housing in Bromley led to interest being shown by Tower Homes. A deal was struck, and the project will be constructed on a joint venture basis with Tower who will dispose of the units on a shared ownership basis.
